Snappy vs QuickListAI — which one is better for UK Vinted, eBay and Depop sellers?

QuickListAI is a US-built listing generator with broad marketplace coverage. Snappy is purpose-built for UK secondhand sellers. Here's where each one earns its place.

TL;DR

QuickListAI is a capable US-built tool with broad marketplace support, but its defaults are US (US English, USD pricing, US-style categories). Snappy is UK-built, prices in £, supports Gumtree, includes an HMRC tracker, and lets you pay once for credits that never expire. For a UK seller on Vinted, eBay, Depop, Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree, Snappy is the better default. If you sell heavily into US marketplaces (Mercari, Poshmark) alongside UK ones, QuickListAI may earn its place in your stack.

The short version

Both tools turn photos into ready-to-post listings. The difference is who they're built for. QuickListAI is general-purpose. Snappy is UK-specific.

That sounds like a small thing, but it shows up everywhere: which marketplaces they support, what currency you're billed in, what spelling they use, whether they care about HMRC, and whether their pricing assumes a US-style monthly subscription as the only path.

Where Snappy wins for UK sellers

1. Pricing in £, no FX surprises

QuickListAI bills in USD. By the time your bank converts, adds the FX fee, and rounds the exchange rate, what looks like "$9.99/mo" can be £8.50 some months and £9.20 others. Snappy bills in £, includes VAT, and the price on the pricing page is the price on your statement.

2. Pay-once, keep-forever credit packs

QuickListAI is a subscription. If you stop paying, you stop generating. Snappy lets you buy a 50-credit pack for £3.99 once and use those credits whenever — even six months later. For seasonal sellers (Christmas clearouts, end-of-summer wardrobe rotations), this is much better value than a subscription you barely use.

3. Gumtree out of the box

Gumtree is still a significant UK marketplace for furniture, electronics, baby gear and anything large or local-pickup. QuickListAI doesn't support Gumtree. Snappy does, with a listing format tuned for how Gumtree buyers actually behave (collection details, condition honesty, fair pricing).

4. Real UK English

"Trousers", not "pants". "Jumper", not "sweater". "Size 12 UK", not "Size 8 US". This isn't a feature in QuickListAI — it's a setting you'd have to toggle every time. In Snappy it's the default. If you sell to a UK audience, the small wording differences add up to listings that feel native.

5. The HMRC tracker

UK side-hustle income above £1,000 a year needs to be declared to HMRC. Snappy includes a tracker that totals your listings over the tax year and alerts you when you approach the threshold. QuickListAI has no equivalent because it isn't tuned to UK tax rules.

6. No tracking cookies, no ad pixels

We don't run Facebook pixels, Google remarketing tags or third-party fingerprinting analytics. We use Plausible (GDPR-compliant by design). QuickListAI uses the typical US analytics stack — fine if you don't care, but a real difference if you do.

Where QuickListAI wins

1. US marketplaces

If a meaningful portion of your sales go through Mercari or Poshmark, QuickListAI supports both and Snappy doesn't. Adding them isn't on our short-term roadmap because UK seller demand is light.

2. More established

QuickListAI has been on the market longer and has more advanced features in places — multi-language coverage, photo enhancement defaults, and a few category templates that Snappy hasn't built yet.

Which one should you pick?

Choose Snappy if…

  • You're a UK seller on Vinted, eBay, Depop, Facebook or Gumtree
  • You'd prefer one-off credit packs over monthly subscription
  • You want pricing in £ with no FX surprises
  • You'd use the HMRC tracker
  • GDPR and "no tracking" matter to you
  • You want UK English without toggling a setting every time

Choose QuickListAI if…

  • You sell into Mercari or Poshmark alongside UK marketplaces
  • You want the broadest feature set today
  • You're already paying QuickListAI and the workflow works
  • USD pricing and US-style analytics don't bother you

Pricing side by side

Snappy starts at £3.49/month or £29.99 for the full year (600 credits — equivalent to £2.50/month). QuickListAI's entry is in the $9.99/month bracket, which at typical 2026 FX rates is closer to £8/month including UK card fees. Over a year, a UK seller spends materially less on Snappy and gets more credits for what they pay.

If you're casual — listing a wardrobe twice a year, not every week — Snappy's £3.99 Starter Pack is the cheapest realistic entry into AI listing in the UK market.

FAQ

Is QuickListAI a bad product?

No, it's a competent tool. We just don't think it's the best fit for UK-only sellers, because it wasn't built specifically for UK marketplaces, pricing or tax rules.

Can I use both?

Yes, plenty of cross-Atlantic sellers do. Both produce text you copy and paste, so they don't conflict.

Does Snappy do photo enhancement?

Yes on Pro and Annual tiers — background removal and basic touch-ups are included.

What if I sell on a marketplace neither of you support?

Snappy's "generic listing" output works for most marketplaces — you'd just paste the title and description into the platform's listing form. If a marketplace has unusual format requirements, let us know and we'll consider it.

How long does generation take?

~30 seconds per listing on Snappy, depending on photo size. QuickListAI is similar.
