Snappy vs Listed AI — which AI listing tool is better for UK sellers?
If you sell on Vinted, eBay, Depop, Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree from the UK, the answer is probably Snappy. But Listed AI has things it does well too — here's the honest breakdown.
Snappy is built in the UK for UK sellers — pricing in £, GDPR-aligned, supports Gumtree, no tracking cookies, and credits never expire. Listed AI is broader and more mature but US-led, with US pricing, US-first marketplace priorities, and no Gumtree. If you list mainly in the UK, you'll get more from Snappy. If you sell across the US and use Mercari or Poshmark daily, Listed AI has the edge.
The short version
Both tools do the same headline job: you upload a photo, the AI writes the listing — title, description, price suggestion and hashtags. The differences are in what they're optimised for and what they leave out.
Listed AI launched earlier and has had time to broaden into more marketplaces, more languages and a few extras Snappy hasn't shipped yet (advanced photo edits, US-style category mapping). Snappy is younger, more focused, and built from the ground up for UK resellers — which means a few things matter more to it: VAT-inclusive pricing, GDPR-grade privacy, Gumtree support, and copy that doesn't sound American.

Where Snappy wins for UK sellers
1. The price is actually in pounds
Listed AI prices in USD. By the time you're billed, you're paying the dollar amount plus your bank's FX fee, and there's no VAT included — which means your "monthly cost" can swing month to month. Snappy is a UK-registered limited company, prices in £, includes VAT, and Stripe handles the billing in pounds. No surprises.
2. Gumtree, properly
Roughly one in three of our UK users posts to Gumtree at least sometimes — especially for furniture, electronics, baby gear and anything bulky that doesn't fit Vinted's audience. Listed AI doesn't support Gumtree. Snappy does, and the listing format is tuned for how Gumtree buyers behave (collection details, condition honesty, fair pricing).
3. GDPR and "no tracking" by default
This isn't a vibe — it's a hard product decision. Snappy has no advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, no Facebook tracking pixel, no third-party analytics that fingerprint visitors. We use Plausible, which is GDPR-compliant by design. If you care about how your data moves, this matters. Listed AI uses standard US-grade analytics and ad pixels, which is normal — but for UK sellers who don't want their browsing tracked, it's a real difference.
4. Credits never expire
If you buy a Snappy pack — 50 credits, 100 credits, 250 credits — they sit on your account forever. List once a month, list ten times a month, doesn't matter. Listed AI is primarily a subscription model, so if you stop paying, you stop generating. Snappy gives you the option to pay once and own the credits.
5. UK-aware listings
This is the kind of thing you only notice once you've used a US-built tool. Snappy writes in UK English — "trousers" not "pants", "jumper" not "sweater", "size 12 UK" not "size 8 US". Listed AI is fine, but you'll find yourself editing more if you sell to a UK audience.
6. The HMRC tracker
If you sell more than £1,000 a year through marketplaces, HMRC requires you to declare the income. Snappy has a built-in tracker that totals your listings over the tax year and tells you when you're approaching the threshold. Listed AI doesn't have anything equivalent because it isn't UK-tax-aware.
Where Listed AI wins
1. Mercari and Poshmark
If a meaningful share of your sales go through Mercari or Poshmark, Listed AI supports both and Snappy doesn't. We don't have plans to add them in the next 6 months — they're heavily US platforms with limited UK seller volume. If you're selling cross-Atlantic, this is a real advantage.
2. More mature feature set
Listed AI has been around longer. It has features like automated photo enhancement, advanced background removal, and a few category-specific templates that Snappy hasn't shipped yet. We're catching up fast, but right now Listed AI is broader.
3. Multi-language at scale
Listed AI supports a wider set of European languages out of the box. Snappy has multi-language on the higher tiers (Annual / Pro), but Listed AI's coverage is wider if you sell in five or more languages.
Which one should you pick?
Choose Snappy if…
- You sell mainly to a UK audience
- Vinted, eBay, Depop, Facebook or Gumtree are your main platforms
- You want to pay in £, with VAT included
- GDPR / no tracking matters to you
- You want the option to pay once (credit packs) instead of a subscription
- You'd use the HMRC side-hustle tracker
Choose Listed AI if…
- You sell cross-Atlantic and need Mercari or Poshmark
- You want the broadest feature set on day one
- Multi-language at scale (5+ languages) is core to your workflow
- You don't mind USD pricing and US-style analytics
- You're already deep in the Listed AI workflow and it works
Pricing side by side
The headline price isn't everything, but for most UK sellers it's where the gap is biggest. Snappy's entry subscription is £3.49/month for 50 fresh credits. Listed AI's entry plan is typically $9–12/month for a comparable allowance (subject to their current promo — verify on their site). Annual: Snappy is £29.99 for 600 credits. Listed AI's annual plans run higher in USD-equivalent terms.
If you list a handful of items a month and don't need a subscription at all, Snappy's £3.99 Starter Pack (50 credits, one-off, never expire) is hard to beat — there isn't a directly equivalent product on the Listed AI side.
